300 ml milk
1 large free range organic egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 slices of white bread
50g ricotta
2 tablespoons honey
100g strawberries
knob of butter, to bake in
A Sunday breakfast with French toast (in Dutch: wentelteefjes), which mini-monster does not love it? The max-monsters think they taste even better with ricotta, honey and strawberries, but not all the youngsters agree!

How to make French toast with ricotta and strawberries
Warm the oven on the lowest heat and warm the plates.
Pour the milk into a big deep plate.
Add the egg and vanilla to it.
Whisk until combined.
Soak the bread in the mixture.
Fry it until golden on both sides.
Place the bread on the warm plates.
Add the honey to the ricotta.
Stir ricotta and honey smooth.
Spoon the ricotta on the French toast
Place the strawberries on top of the ricotta then drizzle with some more honey, if you like.
