April is Earth Day month, the day being April 22nd to be exact (although at snazzie we believe every day should be Earth Day). That's why we like to make a shark craft this year. Because at Children for Children they already sang it 5 years ago but not much has improved for the shark, it is still Shark alarm!
This is how you recycle a kitchen roll
Cut out 2 triangles.
Cut the back at an angle.
Cut the gills or draw them.
Choose your paint colours.
Paint the mouth on the inside.
Paint the outside of the shark.
Allow the paint to dry completely.
While the paint dries you cut out the fin and the tail of the shark
Paint the fin and the tail.
Paint the teeth white.
Draw beady eyes on the head.
Make a cut in the back.
Cut a straight line on the back of the shark, to stick in the fin
Stick the tail into the back.
Tie a bead on a thread.
Insert the string into the needle.
Thread the string up the dorsal fin and you can hang your shark
Or you can make two more, just like we did.
Now we have three sharks in our window ;))
Wishing you a happy Earth Day!
