wobbly eyes
coloured feathers
chenille sticks (pipe cleaners)
cocktail sticks
paint & felt pen, gold
These funny paper roosters wish everybody a Happy Chinese New Year, Gong Xi Kuai Le! The Chinese characters are on the download, just like the rooster template.
How to make the Chinees New year Roosters
Trace the cone shape on red paper.
Cut out as many shapes as you like to make roosters.
Roll the shapes conical and glue them closed.
Prick holes in sides and back, to stick in wings and a tail.
Cut out beaks and combs and wattles.
Stick the cut out parts onto the roosters.
Stick the wobbly eyes onto the roosters.
Stick the feathers into the holes and glue them.
Paint thin gold stripes on the feathers with acryllic paint.
Decorate the roosters with gold paint to your idea.
Bend rooster legs from cheille sticks (pipe cleaners).
Cut small rectangles from red cardboard.
Cut wooden skewers in half.
Draw Chinese characters on the cards.
Glue the sticks onto the backside of the cards.
Stick the New Year wish into the wings of the roosters.
