Shopping list for 6 little cakes
200g self-raising flour
200g caster sugar
200g soft butter
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
a pinch of salt
3 free range eggs
1 tablespoon cocoa
1 tablespoon sugar
smarties & (ready made) icing
fondant icing & sprinkles
What a cute gift, this silicone baking mold from Taiwan. But to bake several bunnies you have to be patient with baking only one cake at a time. Thecakes need to cool in the form and that takes time as well. So one by one then....luckily they only need 12 minutes in the oven. But let's order some more bunny molds online because these cakes will surely be a big hit with the kids!
Mix butter, vanilla and sugar creamy.
Mix the eggs one by one into the batter.
Add the flour and the salt sieved.
Mix the batter until it is fluffy and light.
Divide the batter between 2 bowls.
Stir cocoa, sugar en water into a paste.
Mix it into half the batter in the big bowl.
Preheat the oven to 175°C.
Fill the mold for 2/3 with batter using a wet spoon.
Smoothen the batter in the mold.
Place the mold in the middle of the heated oven.
Bake the little cake in 12 miutes golden.
Place the cake in the mold on a wire rack.
Take it out when it has cooled completely.
Bake 3 vanilla and 3 chocolate bunnies.
Stick eyes on with some icing.
Use pink fondant for noses.
Stick the noses on with icing.
Cut out flowers if you like.
The bunnies are ready! So treat your friends...
