Today a very beautiful, special book on snazzie: Hare and the Easter eggs, a book from the Gray Rabbit series. The book is written by British children's author Alison Uttley (1884-1976) and illustrated by the brilliant Margaret Tempest, (1892-1982) also an English lady. The books became world famous but especially in the United Kingdom they are much beloved, to this day. The book is still avaiable here.
When Hare ventures into the village one evening, he is surprised to see chocolate eggs in a shop window. We know what those chocolate eggs are for, but none of the animals knows. Hare investigates, how would that end? (Sadly this story is not translated into Dutch!)
A very cute book with a lovely story and beautifully illustrated, if that is not a welcome Easter gift!
