100 g flour
100 g cold butter in cubes
a dash of sea salt & freshly ground white pepper
1 teaspoon of mustard powder
50 g Pardano cheese, flakes
65 g Parmesan cheese, powdered
+ extra to sprinkle
1 free range egg yolk
These quick and easy to make cheese biscuits are brittle and spicy. A great recipe to make with kids. With help on standby they can do (almost) everything by themselves. They're lovely for New Years Eve but if they will make it till then? They are so tasty!
How to make the spicy cheese biscuits
Sift the flour in a bowl.
Add the buttercubes.
Add the 2 cheeses and the spices.
Knead into a smooth dough.
Shape it into a roll and wrap in cling film.
Put the dough 30 minutes in the fridge.
Cut of circles and cut out shapes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Place the biscuits on baking paper on a baking tray.
Beat an egg yolk with a wisk.
Brush egg on the biscuits and sprinkle cheese on them.
Bake the biscuits in 10 minutes golden brown.
Let the biscuits cool on a wire rack.
Keep the biscuits in a tin so they stay fresh & brittle.
