250 grams of minced beef
½ a free range egg
some flat parsley, chopped finely
spices such as pepper & sea salt,
paprika powder, nutmeg, garlic powder
bread-crumbs to taste
1 roll of puff pastry
½ a free-range egg
Beat the free range egg then divide it in two halves.
Season the mince, knead in ½ the egg, parsley and bread-crumbs.
Cut the puff pastry in 10x10 squares, then halve them.
Put a same amount of mince on each piece of dough.
Brush egg on the edges of the dough so you can close the parcels very tight.
Fold the parcels, put them upside down on the baking tray.
Brush them with the other half of the egg.
Cut thin strips of dough for the ribbons and bows.
Preheat the oven to 210°C
Stick on the ribbon in a cross.
Stick on bows of dough.
Brush egg on ribbons and bows.
Bake them in 20 - 25 minutes golden.
Allow the parcels to slightly cool on a wire rack.
Luke-warm the presents taste best!
