50 grams of butter
100 grams of medium-coarse oatmeal
50 grams of grated Parmesan cheese
100 grams of flour + extra for sprinkling
1 teaspoon of baking powder
½ teaspoon of sea salt
6 tablespoons of boiling water
optional: soft cheese and grapes, to serve
How to make Cheesy Oatmeal Biscuits
Melt the butter and let it cool.
Grate the Parmesan.
Put oatmeal, cheese, flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Stir all ingedients until combined.
Add the butter to the cheese-mixture.
Also add the tablespoons of boiling water.
Knead it all into a firm dough.
Preheat the oven to 200°C
Roll out the dough to 1½ cm thickness.
Cut biscuits out of the dough.
Place the biscuits on baking paper.
Bake the biscuits 10 minutes.
Take the biscuits out of the oven.
Sprinkle on some extra cheese.
Bake the biscuits for 5 to 8 minutes more.
First allow the biscuits to cool 5 minutes on the baking tray
Trasfer the biscuits to a wire rack to cool completely.
Also delicious with soft cheese and grapes on the side.
