2 apples
250g blackberries
45 ml water
110g caster sugar
1 sliced white sandwich bread
250g butter
icing sugar, to dust
Delicious French Charlottes are quick to make and easy to prepare. In autumn we make them with apples and blackberries. Preparation: Peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into pieces. Wash the blackberries.
How to make French Apple - Blackberry Charlottes
Place 3 tablespoons water into a pan, add the fruit and sugar.
Leave the fruit to soften for 2/3 minutes on low heat.
Cut out parchment circles the size of the molds.
Grease them so later on the pastry comes out easyily.
Cut a small circle and one slightly larger per Charlotte + 2 halve slices out of bread.
Melt the butter in another pan. Soak the bread in the melted butter.
Coat the molds with the bread, small cirkel at the bottom, halve slices around.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
Fill the molds with the fruit, fill them to the rim.
Place the large circles, the lids, on the Charlottes.
Tuck the lids in around the rim using a fork.
Slide the Charlottes into the middle of the oven.
Bake them for 20-25 minutes. Watch out! In these little mold they are ready in 20 minutes.
Dust the lids with icing sugar and eat the Charlottes warm from the oven.
