flesh of 1 ripe avocado
a jar of chickpeas
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
the juice of a lime
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
a dash of sea salt
Healthy, cosy and so nice, dipping hummus together with friends. Quick and easy and it never fails. Eat the hummus outside in the sun, in a park or in the garden. A nice drink to go with it and hummus is ideal for a mini-picnic.
How to make Avocado Hummus
Wash the chick peas and let them drain.
Scoop the avocado empty, add the lime juice.
Add the pressed garlic and add the spices.
Blend the hummus smooth, taste if it's seasoned well or add extra spices.
Spoon the hummus in a bowl, cover it with cling film and let it chill 1hr in the fridge.
Serve the hummus with homemade pita bread or use ready made from the supermarket.
