Today a very interesting, super fun seven-part (sorry, we have only six)book series about animals in snazzie's book of the week. The books are written by Geert-Jan Roebers and Stefan Halewijn.
Geert-Jan Roebers is a well-known biologist and nature journalist. You may already know him because he also writes articles in Taptoe, National Geographic junior and Grasduinen, among others. But you may also have come across him on school TV.
Stefan Halewijn's great love is birds. If you look what he does, you can see that he is a zoo keeper at Beekse Bergen and a teacher, graphic designer and falconer. Someone who knows a lot, with such an interesting career!
What is so great about these books is that they are about whole groups of animals, so in addition to various hamsters it is also about mice, rats and other cool rodents. And the same goes for every book in the series. So much fun to read and at the same time we learn a whole lot from these books, the mini-monsters like to read them often.
It turns out that this is a whole series of widely read books, the last named two volumes and Owl Flight are unfortunately completely sold out. You can still look for them in used, but then the books are really expensive.
3 Fabulous stars for Ratjetoe and the other books, from all the young snazzie readers!
