In autumn we like to search for treasure in the forest. It is still lovely weather and our youngest mini-monster can come with us. It is his first time and he loves it in the woods.
First, we see only a few nuts on the ground but that does not matter to our little helper. He is fascinated by the sunspots that appear through the trees on the path.
But walking a little further, he gets busy because we gather handfuls of acorns!
We do not only find acorns but also beautiful coloured leaves and toadstools. The colored leaves we take home. The fragile toadstools we leave quietly were they are, it's best to leave them in the woods.
Then we find some hazelnuts with and without husks, chestnuts and different kinds of acorns.
And even more acorns and strange casings with in it another kind of acorn. And on the way home we find beechnuts as well, not quite ripe but so beautiful!
We find pine cones small and a bit bigger. Lanterns grow in the garden and we have them in a vase. We bought them on the market, as well as the beautiful autumn fruit in the picture on the top of the page.
Now we have to think what to do with all this beautiful autumn treasure. We'll let you know shortly!
