It is Winter

and it snows

What do you need?
white kite paper, 16x16cm
pencil and ruler
scissors
glue stick

Today we are folding kite paper snowflakes, small and large. The snowflakes are easy to make so everyone can participate. The youngest monsters enjoy doing it so much, with little work you can quickly see a lovely result.

The older mini monsters make the 1 step more difficult snowflakes. If you fold them the same way but stick them another way around you will have two different snowflakes. Isn't that fun?

How to fold snowflakes

For the largest snowflake, you use 8 sheets of kite paper

Fold a sheet of kite paper diagonally in half.

Fold it open and fold two corners to the middle line.

Repeat this 7 times and stick all the folded points on.

Glue the 8 folded sheets together, as shown in the photo.

Ready! Make small snowflakes in the same way, by cutting 2 sheets into 4 equal parts

How to make the other snowflakes
Cut 1 sheet of 16x16cm kite paper into 4 equal parts and then into 8 rectangles

Fold the rectangles in half.

Fold the corners to the middle line.

Fold 2 corners to the middle line.

Fold the remaining 7 rectangles in the same way.

Stick the snowflake together with the narrow points facing outwards.

Brush some glue on the wide side and stick triangle on triangle.

With the 8 parts stuck together the circle is exactly round.

Also make a snowflake with the wide points facing outwards. :))

The monsters also want snow on the window, the white is all gone!

Stick the snowflakes on your window and let's hope that this winter the real snowflakes will come too!

Happy Winter!
