The birth of a giant panda is special,
there are not so many in the world.
In Dutch Zoo's they are not present.

On July 6 2013 Taiwan's first giant panda baby was born in Taipei Zoo and it's a girl. For now the baby is called Yuan Zai by her carers, which means daughter of Yuan but can also be interpreted as little round thing or rice ball. She is the daughter of Dad Tuan Tuan and Mum Yuan Yuan. A triumph for the Taiwan zoo: their first giant panda baby!
Because the inexperienced mother accidentally (lightly) injured her baby, the caretakers temporarily removed her to recover. Cozy and warm in the incubator Yuan Zai is fed by hand with a bottle.
Now that Yuan Zai is a little older, she returns to her mama. But first she has to meet her again, through the fence. Mother and baby are happy to be together again, they stay close to each other.
