with New York Streetcart's Onions

Shopping list for 2 persons
1½ teaspoon olive oil
4 large onions
325 ml passata
1 tablespoon tomato paste
*½ teaspoon salt
*1½ teaspoon smoked paprika
*½ teaspoon dried chili flakes, or more
*1 teaspoon sugar
*½ teaspoon cornstarch
*4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
4 sandwiches
4 Hotdog sausages

How to make Hot dogs with New York Streetcart Onions

Heat the pan and add the olive oil

Cut the onions in rings.

Fry the onions in 30 minutes soft.

Add tomato sauce and puree to the pan.

Add the 6 * marked ingredients.

Stir everything together with 150ml water and let it simmer for 1 hour, or until the sauce is thick and the onions are super soft

Taste the sauce and add more chili flakes and / or vinegar, if desired

Boil the sausages for 20 minutes.

Bake the buns, as indicated.

Cut the buns open lengthwise.

Place a sausage on the bun and generously spoon onionsaus on top.

Serve the hotdogs piping hot!
