Bibi Dumon Tak and Annemarie van Haeringen together created the brilliant picture book Ik wil ook! (I want it too!). Of course this book immediately entered the Picture Books Top 10, nominated for Picture Book of the Year 2015! The story is great and so are the illustrations, we all love this book.
This is how the story goes:
The little calf Konosja lives with his mom and dad in their carpet shop. But it has been very quiet there lately. How did that happen? Everyone in the village has already bought a carpet and their carpets last a very long time. Konosja asks, may I have a small carpet to play on? That is fine and he chooses a pretty red one.
Konosja drives with his cars over his carpet and then he goes outside to play. He takes his carpet with him and all the other animals are amazed when they see what the creative calf can do with his carpet! And what do you think all the animals then say? Yes indeed! What a lovely book.
