Today we go to Dino Experience Park in Gouda, a holiday outing chosen by Puk. He very much wants to see the Dinosaurs and there is also a lot to do in the Parc, Puk is really looking forward to it. He is already very excited when he sees large pictures of dinosaurs.
Upon entering, First we have to report (in the gift shop) with our time slot on the printed tickets. While we wait for the tickets to be scanned Puk is already looking at the many sweet toy dinosaurs.

We walk past a dinosaur skeleton and then we are inside. First Puk wants to go to the Dinosaurs, that's what we came for! He is not disappointed when he sees a large Tyrannosaures Rex, which is moving and making noise.
The big Tyrannosaurus Rex stands in a bare field with a rope around it and a sign next to it saying please do not touch. A little further there is a small Dinosaur, which is exhibited in the same way.
Where the ropes are stretched a little more, we take pictures without rope, but they are there around every dino, small or large. Puk thinks it's beautiful anyway and bounces excited from one dinosaur to the other. Puk loves these animals, he thinks they are awesome and has a terrific time.
Not that the dinosaurs aren't looking good but a little more variety in the displays would make a big difference. We find the exhibition very static and a bit boring but we came for Puk so his happy face is the most important today!
Then the end of the exhibition comes in sight but the little dinos we see now are the summum for Puk, too cute! There's even a nest with a mother dinosaur on it and a little one just emerging from the egg. Ahhh!
Let's take a final look, have we filled in the answers to all the questions? Then we have to decipher the message, the treasure hunt is almost solved!
Puk also wants to really go bounce in the Dinosaur Bouncy Castles! But when we finally arrive at the bouncy castles, it's seriously pouring! Puk still wants to try, he loves the dino bouncy castles so much! It turns out not to be do-able, the cushions are already soaking wet and they are also very slippery. So back to the covered terrace of the 'restaurant' where it is not very dry either.
We've had enough for today. We are stone cold, everything is very wet and inside it is very crowded. Little children are crying loudly. We have a quick coffee, Ezra chose crisps and an small excavation kit with a mini-dino and a mini-dinosaur skeleton in plaster.
Then we drive home, 85.00 euro poorer for a couple of hours of not so great entertainment with 2 adults and 1 child. Because your entrance ticket covers just that, your entrance. All the activities are extra as is parking. Without lunch or midget golf, without the pedalo, dino crafting, a dino foto moment and visiting the Danger zone (partly because of covid and the relentless pouring rain). Look at the pictures, empty, with not a human in sight
Can you imagine what we would have spent on a sunny day? Was it worth it? Honestly, not to us adults. For Puk yes, except for the rain spoiling the bouncy castles for him, he just loved the dino park! We did not pick up the surprise for filling in the Ranger passport, by the end Puk had lost all interest in it, we were to cold and wet!
Back home Puk first puts a thick, dry sweater and pants on and then he immediately starts working on his Dino Excavation set . He chisels away at it and when it doesn't work with the supplied wooden chisel he grabs his hammer :)) The hammering continues until the dino skeleton appeares and he loves it!
He isvery happy with his mini-dinosaur and he even likes the 'debris' and wants to keep it. Of course he may ;) All in all it was the best outing for Puk anyway, just to bad it rained!
