With Candlemas coming we are decorating candles with beeswax. These candles look pretty in January but also on Palm Sunday, Easter, Pentecost and actually on every day. We model a Snowdrop, because tit is the first to appear above ground in January.
But we press daisies on our candles as well, they are also cute and pretty and fit in beautifully with spring. Sculpting with beeswax is not difficult to do at all, just warm the wax in your hands and you are good to go. So join in with us, it will be fun!
How to decorate candles with beeswax
Knead the beeswax until it's soft between your warm hands.
Form a stem and two - slightly shorter - long narrow leaves.
Press the beeswax stem and leaves gently on your candle.
Roll 3 little white balls, flatten them and shape them into ovals.
Those are the petals, press them also gently on the candle.
Then the Daisy's: roll 5 little white balls per flower.
Flatten the white balls.
Press them on the candle.
Roll yellow hearts and press them on.
The monsters make little candles.
The little candles are cute too! We're looking for the paper daisie candle holder to put the small candles in
