6 sheets frozen puff pastry
100g cheddar & mozzarella
1 free range organic egg
These savoury cheese bunnies and chicks are quick easy to make with store bought puff pastry. It is a fun job to do with the mini-monsters and they love to eat the chicks and cheese bunnies as well.
Start by laying out the puff pastry and half defrosting it.
Then preheat the oven to 220°C and place a sheet of waxed paper on a baking tray
Cut the figures out of dough.
Prick holes in half the figures.
Lay on cheese, cover with dough.
Lightly beat the egg.
Brush the bunnies and chicks with egg wash.
Sprinkle some cheese on the bunnies en chicks.
Bake for +/- 15 minutes in the oven.
Allow the savoury pastry to cool slightly, on a wire rack.
Serve the cheese bunnies and chicks slightly warm.
