Baking Christmas cookies with the kids, there's nothing we'd rather do in December! Today we bake Christmas trees big& small. Once we are busy, our mini-monster wants to cut out other Christmas shapes too, that's convenient! This way we can easily separate the biscuits with from without gluten ;)
How to bake Christmas cookies
Beat butter and sugar creamy.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat in flour en baking powder too.
Roll the dough into a ball.
Wrap the dough in cling film and allow it to rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 170°C
Roll the dough to 1cm thickness.
Cut out Christmas figures.
Place the biscuits on waxed paper.
Place the baking tray with the smallest biscuits in the oven then bake the biscuits light brown in 6-8 minutes.
Allow the biscuits to cool on a wire rack.
Meanwhile we cut out the large trees.
Bake them in 12-15 minutes golden brown.
Allow the biscuits to cool completely.
Pipe white icing along the edge of the biscuits and allow the kids to decorate the biscuits with sprinkles
We wish you all a wonderful Christmas to come!
