Pour a cup of water in a bowl and add 1.5 cups of plaster in it.

Leave it for a minute and mix the plaster firmly with the water.

Plaster hardens fast so you have to pour it immediately into a jug.

That's handy to fill the shapes.

Shove the mold a bit to and fro so the airbubbles disappear.

After half a day the plaster is dry and you can press out the shapes.

Put the plaster - right side up - away intil tomorrow.

It takes a night for the plaster shapes to dry through and through, so be patient until tomorrow!

Scrape the edges of the figures carefully smooth with an blunt (plastic) knife.

Paint your figures in pretty Christmas colours with porcelain paint.

Gold or glitter paint looks festive for Christmas but let the different colours dry first.
