400g chicken fillet
4 tablespoons plain flour
1 free-range organic egg, lightly beaten
115 grams breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
homemade French Fries
fine peas
Now that our mini-monsters are no longer interested in the gift in the Happy Meal, we make our own chicken nuggets and French fries for them. Nice and fresh, straight from the pan and the oven onto your plate. We add a bowl of lettuce with mini tomatoes or peas, (both is also allowed!).
How to make chicken nuggets and French fries
Cut the chicken breast into pieces of 2-3cm.
Roll the chicken pieces flat between 2 sheets of baking paper.
Weigh and measure the flour, salt and bread crumbs.
Beat the egg lightly and set up all ingredients.
Cover the chicken pieces with flour.
Then dip them in beaten egg.
Then cover them in bread crumbs.
Tap off the excess of flour, egg or bread crumbs, after every addition
Place the chicken nuggets on a large plate.
Cover and put in the fridge until needed.
Peel, wash and dry the potatoes.
Cut the potatoes in slices and then into thin fries
Heat the sunflower oil to 160°C
Pre-fry the French fries in small batches for 4 minutes.
Drain the French fries on kitchen paper.
Roast the nuggets for 15 minutes, turn over when half way through.
Keep the chicken on the hot tray for a moment, until the fries are ready.
Serve the nuggets with fries and have peas and/or salad on the side,
