How much fun is this series in which young children can get acquainted with famous classical music? Awesome! The books are provided by well-known illustrators with funny, beautiful or fun drawings.
The texts have been made by famous children's book writers and they are read by Frank Groothof; Jasperina de Jong; Paul de Leeuw; Karin Bloemen and Pierre Bokma, to name a few.
The funny, cheerful poems to accompany Saint Saens famous music Carnival of Animals for example, are written and told by Ivo de Wijs. The brilliant drawings are by Thé Tjong-Khing.
On the CD that comes with the book The Sleeping Beauty you can hear the Concertgebouw Orchestra play the wonderfulmusic by Tjaikovski, conducted by door Antal Dorati. The story is written by Erik van Os and Elle van Lieshout. Charlotte Dematons made the romantic drawings.
