When we received a bunch of beautiful willow kittens (?) as a gift and we immediately had a fun idea for Epiphany. We make small crowns and hang them in the branches. Three different crowns, because it is for Epiphany.
We neatly cut off a whole bunch of gold-coloured strips, so that we can hang the branches full later on. But no way! The little monsters immediately ask why we are going to make so many crowns if there were only three kings, right?
How to make 3 Epiphany crowns
1) The golden crown
Cut strips of gold cardboard according to the pattern.
Glue the golden crown together.
2) How to make the red crown
Glue a strip of red crepe paper onto the cardboard strip.
Glue the strip round, clip on a clothes peg.
Cut two small narrow strips to go on top of the crown.
Glue the strips crosswise between the crown and the crepe paper.
3) How to make the blue crown
Fold a strip of blue crepe paper.
Stick the crepe paper on the serrated strip of cardboard.
Glue the crown in a circle and let the glue dry.
Fold the crepe paper puffy inwards and let it overlap a little.
Cut a small cardboard cirkel and stick it on.
Tie a bead on the end of a thread.
Stick the thread into a long needle.
Stick the thread from the inside outward.
Tie a loop in the top iof the thread.
