needle and thread|
embroidery yarn
wool and a large needle
We sew Christmas mini-stockingss from felt, they look nice on the Christmas tree or make them a present. You can sew the socks by hand, they are quickly ready. Make them in different colour combinations.
First download the pattern of the mini-stockings, print it and cut it out.
Pin the pattern on a double folded piece of felt and cut it out.
Then you cut out the front and back of the stocking at the same time.
Sew the sock with a woollen thread, the stitches will be thicker.
You close the stockings like this, with a blanket stitch but first tie a knot in the tread
Attach, stick the needle in but do not pull the thread tight.
Stick the needle back to front through the loop, then pull.
Repeat the stitch until you are completely round.
Tie off firmly, 3 stitches on top of each other and cut the thread.
Measure the band with which the sock will be trimmed.
Sew the band around top of the stocking, tie firmly off.
Sew the loop on the inside of the sock and tie off
The first two Christmas mini-stockings are ready to go on the tree!
Madelief makes a red Christmas mini-stocking with white wool and one with faux Marabou.
After the felt is cut out you sew the stocking haves together with the blanket stitch.
Blanket stitch: insert the needle, leave a loop, stick through it and pull tight.
Madelief is good at it, as you can see in the pictures.
You can stitch the fur on the outside, it's fluffy so the stitches don't show.
When you are around tie off firmly and cut off the thread.
Madelief is finished with her work! Below you see all mini- stockings in a row.
We wish you a ver happy Christmas!
