Because our little monsters found the autumn table so beautiful, the winter table didn't really got off the ground for us;)) We could slip in some Christmas Gnomes but that was it! Now it really has to happen, if we want to enjoy it when it is still winter. We start gradually, but of course King Winter has to come first!
How to make King Winter
We start with his head
Cut off a piece of tubing, then tie a knot on one side.
Fill the tubing firmly using original sheeps wool.
Close the top of the head using a needle and thread.
Tightly tie off your stitching.
Bind a thread around the head at 1/3 from the top.
Cut off a small piece of tricot, sew it into a tube.
Sew it in lockstitch, the seam needs to be strong.
Sew the tube closed on top then tie off.
Turn the tube inside out then pull it over the head.
Bind the head not yet firmly closed on the underside.
Twist 3 pipecleaners in a body with arms and legs.
First put the head on the body, then tightly wrap a thread around the neck and tie it off
Pull the remaing fabric downward, past the neck.
Firmly tie off the fabric again, under the arms.
How to you make the Winter King complete
Cut a piece of white felt, the length of the doll but twice the width.
Lace a thread through the top.
Pull the thread tight.
Cut two small holes for the arms.
Dress the doll in the garment.
Sew the gown closed.
Cut out 4 small hand, sew them 2 and 2.
Fill the hands up, using wool again.
Pull off 2 pieces of wool, shape hair and beard.
Sew the hair with tiny stictches on top of the head.
Sew the beard on the chin, flip it back.
Sew the hands on the arms.
How to make King Winter's clothes
Stick the bead on the wooden stick and paint the scepter silver.
Cut out the pattern parts.
Pin the pattern on the felt.
Decorate the coat with embroidery, beads or leave it plain.
Pin the loose parts of the coat together.
Sew the coat with the blanket stitch.
Let the decorations continue on the back of the coat.
Sew matching decoration on the crown then sew it together.
King Winter is ready to reign!
