You can quickly make these cute cushions on a sewing machine. Are you good in handling the sewing machine? Cool! Otherwise you may want to ask your mother for help and do it together. The cushions are 22cm square, we make an inner cushion and a cover.
Inner cushion
Measure 25x25cm of the white fabric (3cm extra to seam) and cut it from double folded fabric so you have two squares joined together and 1 less side to sew. Fold the fabric inside out and pin it together.
Sew the cushion closed on two sides, side 3 leave 10 cm open to fill.
Fluff out a big tuft of fiberfill and fill the cushion with it.
Whipstich the 10 cm closed by hand and the inner pillow is ready.
The cushion cover
Cut a piece of coloured cotton fabric size 35x25cm.
On the top side you have 10 cm extra fabric. These 10cm fabric will be sewed together with the sides, to give the cover a pillow case closing. The flap you can fold in or outside the cover, just as you prefer.
Fold the fabric inside out and pin it together. Zigzag the top and bottom sides and fold the flap to the inside. Stitch de long sides closed.
Sew the pompom band all around the cushion by hand and place the inner cushion in the cover.
Sew by hand two pieces of ribbon on the flap on the back side and two on the cover, so you can close the flap.
Done! The cushions are lovely!
