What do you need?
cardboard rolls
a pair of scissors
acrylic of gouache paint
paintbrush
tea or LED lights
A quick craft are these Diwali flower lights for little ones. The little mini-monsters really like them! We cut and they happily paint. Let the paint dry and then you can put a real tea light in (but put real lights out of reach). We also have some LED lights, which the little ones can switch on and off themselves. Awesome!
How to make floral lights for Diwali
Poke a hole in the middle.
Cut the rolls into halves.
Make 5 vertical cuts.
Fold the petals open.
Paint the flowers on the inside.
Let dry and paint the outside.
Let the paint dry again.
Place the lights in the flowers.
We place the Diwali flowers on a tray.
We light the tea lights after school and then the little monsters can make their own Diwali light!
