Now that it is cold outside we tend to stay in more and we read a lot. Yesterday The Mouse Mansion came out of the bookcase again. That's why we bake cute mice today, a nice job for the mini monsters. They can mix dough, model mice from the dough and insert the almond ears.
How to make mouse biscuits
Mix butter and sugar creamy.
Whisk in egg and almond flavour.
Add flour an baking powder.
Wrap the dough in cling film.
Let the dough rest in the fridge for minimal 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 175°C
Roll a heaped tablespoon dough into mice.
Stick in almond ears.
Bake the mice for 10 - 12 minutes.
Allow the mice to cool on a rack.
Cut five laces in four pieces.
Stick the tails into the warm mice.
Melt the chocolate au bain marie.
Make chocolate eyes on the mice using a skewer.
The mice biscuits are almost too cute to eat!
