Sometimes you come across a book that's so ingenious that words fail you. Lindbergh by Torben Kuhlmann is such a book. Fluently written with a lot of imagination and exceptionally beautifully drawn. The story and the mood of the drawings complement each other to perfection.
No wonder this thesis(!) by Torben Kuhlmann was published immediately, it was already in book form. The book is beautifully and with so much care conducted, in hardcover, and also very much in style with the story, a lifelong treasured possesion for book a lover.
Meanwhile the from origin German picture book is translated and published in many countries, including in the Uk and the USA. Everywhere the book is being hailed by critics with words like 'perfect, spectacular, unusual, incredibly beautiful and a brilliant debut'. The book has even been reviewed in The New York Times! The author recently had a book signing tour throughout the United States.
We love that this picture book is so successful so quickly, totally deserved in our opinion. We would not be surprised if the book will be made into a movie. It lends itself really well for filming, just watch the beautiful book trailer.
3 well deserved, ultra shiny, fabulous stars, from snazzie's out-loud-readers and the mini-monsters!
