What do you need?
an empty plastic bottle, volume 2 liter
1 liter water
drops of food colouring
1 liter vegetable oil
strong glue
a funnel
a measuring cup
Did you have a lovely beach vacation on which you sat every day by the ocean? Then you go home and you miss that wonderful ocean view. To remember your happy days at the seaside we make a bit of ocean in a bottle. Then you can place it on your windowsill and watch it whenever you want.

How to make your own sea water
Clean the empty bottle thoroughly with a washing up liquid, remove labels.
Pour with the measuringcup 1L water into the bottle.
Drip blue and yellow colouring into the water until you like the colour.
Close the bottle and shake it to see the colour.
Did you mix the pretty turquoise colour that reminds of the ocean?
Then fill the bottle with sunflower oil till the rim.
Screw the cap on tight with a little bit of glue on the inside.
Shake the bottle slowly in the sunlight and make beautiful waves.
The more sunlight shines through the bottle, the more beautiful the colour will be.
