What do you need?
a small ball of light green wool
a small ball of light brown wool
a small pom pom maker
a pair of scissors
2 eyes
hobby glue
pieces of felt, light green + pink
Our mini-monsters are still Starwars fans. The old movies are still amazingl! But now that they have seen the American TV series The Mandalorian with baby Yoda, that is a new favorite. That is why we are making a small Yoda today, from wool :))
How to make Yoda
Fold open the two small parts of the pom pom maker.
Place them on top top of eacg other.
Hold them together and wrap 1 side with wool.
After 80-100 wraps so the same on the opposite side.
Fold the pom pom maker into a circle.
Stick your scissors in between.
Cut the wool all around.
Cut of some wool.
Pull it between the pom pom maker.
Pull the thread really tight.
Tie off very firmly with 3 knots.
Now unfold the pom pom maker and remove it from the pom pom
Cutt off the long ends of the thread
Trim the pom pom neatly round.
Roll it between your hands for a moment.
Rolling it between your hands will reveal protruding threads and cutting it will make your pom pom nice and round and fluffy
Make a similar pom pom from light brown wool or cotton, in the same way you made the green one
But do not cut the pom pom round but more upright.
Stick the eyes into the green pom pom.
Cut Yoda's ears, inner ears and hands.
Stick the ears on Yoda's head as well and let the glue dry.
Stick the hands onto the body
Sew the body and head of Yoda together and he is ready!
Now you can hang Yoda on your bag or put him in a good spot.
Everyone loves little Yoda, he's very soft and cute!
