Green Origami paper 15x15cm
pieces of colored cardboard
a pencil
scissors
a glue stick
a black felt-tip pen
The mini monsters like to look at the Red Ted Art website, because there are many fun bookmarks that they also like to make. That's why we're making a cool snake bookmark for Father's Day today. First we will fold origami and then cut and paste. Not difficult at all, much fun and everyone can join in!
How to make a snake bookmark
Place the white side up.
Fold the bottom point up.
Fold the right to the middle.
Fold the left to the middle.
Unfold the points.
Place the point down and fold it up.
Fold the left point inward.
Fold the right point inward and you're done!
This is the side where the snake will be.
Now that the folding is done, let's cut and paste
We have green, yellow, red and white cardstock.
Cut an oval out of green cardstock, it will be the head.
Trace it's tummy on yellow cardstock and cut it out.
Place the tummy on the bookmark and trim it if necessary.
Cut out a long red tongue.
Cut out white eyes and two sharp teeth.
All the parts are cut out now.
Stick the parts on the bookmark and draw pupils and stripes.
Look, your snake is ready!
