What do you need?
cardboard box HEKTAR (Ikea)
a metal ruler and cutter blade
wooden slat 9x9mm
wooden slat 27mm
saw and miter box
piece of sand paper
4 plastic caps (milk carton)
acryllic paint (silver and black)
paint brushes and a pencil
1 rubber sheet grey, adhesive
The box in which our new lamps were packed immediately called out "stove" to us, a great recycling project has never gone amiss. We looked at home if we had a cardboard box to make small parts from, some scrap wood and what more recyclable materials we needed. Milk caps came to mind!
How to make the stove
Start by sawing a handle for the oven door, then the stove buttons(?)
Saw two cubes 9x9mm from the smallest slat.
Use the miter tray to saw straight.
Measure 16 cm from the slat and saw it off.
Sand the rough edges smooth.
Paint the parts three times silver.
Paint the plastic caps with primer first.
Then paint 3 times with silver paint.
We make gaz burners from rubber and cardboard:
Take the grey rubber sheet.
Trace around 4 glasses in 3 sizes.
Cut out the circles.
Cut 8 cardboard circles, same sizes.
Glue the circles together in pairs.
Now you have 4 thick circles.
Paint the edges all around silver.
Leave the paint to dry and stick the rubber on.
In the mean time saw off four legs of 27mmx1cm.
Sand the legs until they're smooth.
Paint the legs black two times or until the paint covers.
Leave the legs to dry thoroughly too.
Now we have done enough for today, next time we continue!
