We are making a lantern for Candlemas, using this beautiful empty glass jar, with snowdrops on it. With Mod Podge glue and sealer in one you ensure that your picture does not come off or get damaged. We use kite paper for the snowdrops because the light shines through so beautifully.
This is how you make this lantern
Draw the leaves and flowers on kite paper.
Cut it all out neatly.
Stick the leaves and the flowers on the jar.
Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely.
Brush a thin layer of Mod Podge all over the jar.
Let the Mod Podge dry completely again.
Bind a string of white cotton around the top and string on the felt balls.
Tie knots on the ends of the white thread.
Light the candle when it's starting to get dark.
Have a beautiful Candlemas!
