a peg doll
white and light green felt
pins
a needle and matching thread
a pair of scissors
2 wooden beads, 10mm
an iron wire
a thin ribbon
hobby glue
cotton knitting yarn
Today we are making a Snowdrop Elf, a small wooden doll wearing a pretty felt dress. She holds a snowdrop in her hand as she walks through the snow. We will put her on the seasonal table when she is completely ready. Candlemas is coming!
How to make a little Snowdrop Elf
Download the pattern, print it and cut it out
Pin the pattern on the felt.
Cut out the felt.
Pin the felt around the doll.
Sew it closed with tiny stitches.
Sew the flower petals on the dress.
Wind the cotton around your fingers, and tie it off.
Cut the hair to the size of the doll.
.Stick the hairon the head and trim it, if needed.
Colour little green accents on the bottom of the dress.
Colour pink cheeks on the face.
Sew the hands onto the doll, sew them on securely!
Cut off a piece of wire and bend it
Roll the ribbon around it and glue it.
Cut some leaves and sew them around the stem.
Cut the out little flower and sew it onto the stem.
Finally stick the snowdrop into the little elf's hand.
Find the little Snowdrop Elf a nice spot!
