What do you need?
3 stale whole wheat sandwiches
bird peanut butter (no salt in it!)
seeds for outdoor birds
leftover cheese
an apple
peanuts in the shell
a plate
a wooden skewer
It's almost spring but still cold outside. The birds still need our help and not just because it is cold. Because there are now more tiled gardens than green gardens, it is difficult for city birds to make a living for themselves.
Fortunately, the Municipality of Rotterdam does a lot to help. They sow many wild flowers on roadsides, green areas, on canals and long fields. That helps a whole lot. But you can also help, by feeding the birds in your garden or on your balcony. This recipe is by OERRR :))
Here is how you make a tasty snack for the birds
Take three old sandwiches.
Spread one sandwich thickly with peanut butter.
Sprinkle bird seed on top.
Put some left over Cheese on top.
Press the second sandwich on top.
Spread peanut butter on top of the second sandwich.
Press appel slices in the peanut butter, top with peanuts and a sandwich.
Place the sanwich on a plate and insert a wooden skewer
Decorate the palte with some more seeds, peanuts and left over apple. Place the plate somewhere where the birds can easily hide for cats and such!
Now it soon will be pretty busy in your garden or on your balcony!
