What do you need?
an empty toilet roll
piece of sturdy cardboard
a pencil
scissors
piece of orange felt
orange yarn
a needle
hobby glue
piece of hat elastic
red-white-blue band
orange feathers
For King's Day we make funny hats for the little monsters, but Beer would really like one too. Would we just like to say that Bear also looks very smart in the hat! The hat can be sewn or completely glued together, whichever you prefer is fine.
How to make the Orange hat
Cut the roll in half, use the closed half.
Draw a circle around a glass on the cardboard.
Cut out the circle neatly.
Cut the felt to the size of the roll and also of the circle.
Trace on a piece of felt also a little circle, around the toiletroll
Cut out the little circle too,
Sew the large circles around the cardboard.
Sew a strip of felt around the roll.
Now you have the three parts.
Stick the little circle ontop of the roll.
Let the glue dry completely.
Poke the elastic through the big circle.
Tie it in a knot on top.
Sew on the ribbon.
Choose the feathers.
Stick the top of the hat on the large circle, over the elastic knot and press it firmly together
Let the glue dry and stick the feathers between the ribbon.
The hat is ready and doesn't it look beautiful?
