What do you need?
a piece of felt, white or ecru
matching yarn and needle
piece of felt, salmon pink
long strip of red felt
a thread of black embroidery yarn
a thread of ecru embroidery yarn
2 small black beads
Today we make the finger puppet from the book Alex T Smith: How Winston delivered Christmas. With 1 small difference, we do not make our Winston from paper but from felt, it will last longer;) If you prefer to make it from paper, that is of course also fine. He will be cute any way!
Draw a circle on the white felt using a small bowl.
Cut out the circle then make a cut until the middle.
Roll the circle into a cone and pin it then cut it even.
Cut out small 2 white circles and 2 even smaller in pink.
Sew the cone closed, sew the pink on the white circles.
Sew a tail of light pink embroidery yarn on the mouse.
Sew black whiskers on it's nose.
Sew the ears on Winston's head.
Sew eyes on Winston's head and wrap the scarf around.
