Today we make moon biscuits from the other half of yesterday's dough. The biscuits are very beautiful, they show the cycle of the moon. Superfun for astronauts but also for Eid al Fitr, on the 4th of june. But make 1 larger circle, then we put the earth in the middle ;)
How to make moon biscuits
Preheat the oven to 170°C
Preheat the oven to 170°C
Roll the dough to 1cm thickness.
Cut out circles.
Place them on waxed paper.
Bake the biscuits 10 - 12 minutes.
While the cookies bake and then cool completely you can make the icing fondant decorations
Knead black and white.
Knead it until marbled.
Knead in some turqois icing.
Roll it firmly.
Cut out circles.
Stick two circles on a biscuit.
Full moon and New moon.
Waxing and waning gibbous moon.
First and third quarter of the moon.
Waxing and waning moon crescent.
Stick a blue icing cirkel with some green on the big biscuit.
Give the universe here and there golden accents.
Allow the paint to dry, meanwhile make the tea. Eid Mubarak!
