The verses are written by Doctorandus P, a well-known writer in his day. Born in Switzerland but living in the Netherlands, Heinz Polzer always wrote in the Dutch language. He was not only a writer but also a poet, comedian, Dutch scolar, composer, pianist and singer of songs, written by himself.
The verses have humor and a light tone, they are very witty and clever. Funny and with respect for the cat, so the book is perfect for the real cat lover. The illustrations by painter René Boin speak for themselves, we think his work is exceptional beautiful. The attitude and the expressions on the cats faces are always spot on. Unfortunately, the book has not been translated into English.
