Maida biscuits sidepicll

It's almost Diwali so we're going to bake special biscuits, Maida biscuits to be precise. The cookies are actually named after the Maida flour with which they are made but we have not found it. But we are assured that patent flour tastes just as good. We're going to try, we'll do our very best anyway!

Let the dough rest a moment.

Heat the oil to 180°C.

Fry 6 biscuits at a time.

Fry the golden on both sides.

  • When the biscuits are cooked, the bubbles disappear and float to the surface.
  • Remove the light brown biscuits from the pan with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.

You can also bake the Maida biscuits in the oven. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 15 minutes.

Place the biscuits on a clean platter to present them festively.
