57g ghee or butter

For Diwali we make Milk Peda, a much loved candy or cookie (however you see it) by both children and adults. Our recipe comes from an Indian Mum, she has it from her Mum :)) You need few ingredients and there is no baking involved. They are made on the stove but... they do need to rest for 4-5 hours covered, when ready.
How to make Milk Peda
Melt the butter on low heat.
Add the condensed milk.
Stir in the milk powder.
Put back on and stir on medium heat.
After 7-8 minutes it starts to leave the bottom.
Stir in kardamom and remove from heat.
Let the dough to cool slightly, until warm
and then roll it into balls, the size of a walnut
Make a well using your pinky and put in a nut.
After a 5 hour wait, have a nice treat!
