Mikis the Donkey Boy is a beautiful story by Bibi Dumon Tak. The story is about a Greek boy who loves his grandfather's donkey very much. His grandfather allowed him to name the donkey and he calls her Tsaki. Mikis and Tsaki become great friends and together they experience small adventures. The entire village sympathizes with them and from now on Mikis is called the Donkey Boy. If Tsaki also has an unexpected surprise for Mikis, the story has a very nice ending.
The drawings in the book are by Philip Hopman, they take you straight to Greece. They are beautiful again and fit the story perfectly. Another beautiful book by Bibi Dumon Tak and Philip Hopman, we are happy with it!
