What do you need?
1 slat of 25 x 25 mm
1 slat of 9 x 9 mm
1 slat of 7 x 1.5 cm
strong (wood) glue
sand paper
acrylic paint
a black marker
Minecraft is a popular game among our mini-monsters. They watch the videos on youtube, they playthe game themselves or they read the tips and tricks in special books. The figures are collectables, plush or plastic miniatures. We make one today from wood. Jonah's most beloved character, the Minecraft Zombie moves on a chicken. Today we make the zombie, the chicken we follows later because this craft is not made in a day.
Required tools
saw and miter box; ruler and pencil; glue clamp
Measure and draw lines on the 25x25 mm.slat.
Saw eight squares from the slat using the miter box.
Saw two pieces wood of 7x3.5x1.5cm for the body.
Saw 4 pieces off the 9x9 slat of 4cm, 2 arms and 2 legs.
Saw 2 cubes of 1cm of the 9x9mm, the feet.
Sand all the sawed off edges neatly smooth.
Paint the cubes 3 colours green.
Glue the cubes together in fours.
Stick the 2 layers on top of each other.
Paint the body, the arms and legs.
Draw 4 cubes onto the cubes.
Draw 2 stripes (4 small cubes) on each of the 12 cubes, all around on the outside,and paint them in different colours green.
Glue body, arms, legs and feet together..
Draw eyes on the head with the marker.
Glue the head onto the body.
Stick the head on the body with a clamp, allow the glue to dry overnight.
"Let's start on the chicken now", says Jona. But that has to wait at least a week :))
