Mini Butter and Chocolate Biscuits

Mini Vanilla Butter Cookies
70g softened butter
40g icing sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
80g all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons milk (30 ml)
Mini Chocolate Butter Cookies
same as vanilla biscuits + 10g cocoa
Topping
20g chocolate, brown
20g chocolate, white

We are passing on the recipe for cute little biscuits for Eid already, in vanilla and chocolate flavour. Our biscuitss don't look as pretty as the ones in the original recipe. Nevr mind, we are not bakers but happy hobbyists and we do our best.It was a bit disappointing that the biscuits (especially the vanilla ones that have been cooled the longest!) ran out a bit. But the monsters find the biscuits very cute and yummie. :))

How to make Mini Butter biscuits

Place butter and sugar in a bowl.

Fold it in until smooth.

Mix in the vanilla.

Gradually sift in the flour.

Finally fold the milk into the dough.

The dough should now be of pipeable thickness.

Otherwise add a little more milk.

The dough is ready , place baking paper on the baking tray and assemble a piping bag

Use a serrated nozzle.

Spoon the dough into the piping bag.

Pipe biscuits on the baking tray.

Flatten the tops with a wet fingertip.

Cover the biscuits and place the tray in the fridge for at least 1 hour
 
 

Make chocolate biscuits in the same way.

Pipe the biscuits on the tray with vanilla biscuits.

Let these biscuits cool for an hour too.

Preheat the oven to  175°

Bake the biscuits for 12-15 minutes.

Let cool on the tray for10 minutes.

Chop the chocolate finely.

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie.

Let the chocolate cool slightly

Spoon it into a small piping bag.

Pipe chocolate circles on the biscuits.

Allow the chocolate to set.

Pipe white chocolate on the brown biscuits.

Let all the chocolate set before you serve the biscuits.
