Today we started reading a very beautiful book which is called Mio, my Mio to our young monsters. It is a classic children's book, written in 1954 by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren.
The edition we are reading from was published in October 2022 and is fully illustrated in colour, for the first time. The story is beautiful, moving, adventurous and very exciting and it is told brilliantly by the author.
The brilliant illustrations in the English edition of this book are made by Astrid Lindgren's original artist/illustrator Ilon Wikland. Be sure to check out her website because her beautiful, typically Swedish artwork takes you back in time. Highly recommended!
