What do you need?
wooden box
a piece of piece pretty paper
adhesive faux gems
gold paint
piece of soft fabric (like velvet)
piece of foam
This romantic jewelry box you can make in any style you like. By using different colours and a different type of paper you give it a retro, a modern or a funny jacket. Use your imagination. There are at Xenos also round boxes available, when a heart is not applicable.
Trace the lid of the box on the back side of the paper.
Also draw a large strip on the paper with a ruler.
Cut out the heart shape and apply glue.
Divide the glue to the edges of the paper wit a piece of carton.
Press the heart on top of the lid and gently rub it smooth.
Apply glue to the side of the lid and let the glue dry for a few minutes.
Cut out the strip of paper, glue it around the lid and let it dry
Paint the box on the outside, inside just paint the rim.
Stick the little adhesive gems on top of the lid.
Cover the foam with the velvet for a soft interior.
Trace the box on the foam for a correct fit.
Cut out the heart shape.
Trim the heart a little if it does not fit exactly.
Place the heart on the fabric and cut with an ample margin.
Glue the velvet loosly around the foam.
Press the velvet heart into the box.
Now your box is ready.
