It is actually a collection of three well-known picture books: The root children, The summer party and Jantje in flower bulb land. The cheerful stories are written entirely in rhyme and the wonderful, nostalgic illustrations were made by Dutch artist/illustrator Freddie Langeler.
No wonder these picture books are still loved and read aloud at the Waldorf School. The fairytale stories with dreaming children and fairies and gnomes are beautiful!
