a glass with water (to clean your brushes)
Today we show you how Puk paints wet on wet, as he learned this when he first came to school. The effect of such a painting is very beautiful and today Puk has chosen a favorite subject of his to paint for us.
See how you paint wet on wet
First mix your paint with water, to paint the sun we use lemon yellow
Stir a teaspoon paint with a drizzle water to get your colour..
.Make your sponge really wet and divide water over the paper.
Turn the paper over and do the same on the other side.
Paint a small circle on the rougher side of the paper.
Make the circle bigger and bigger without using more paint.
Do you see the paint getting thinner and lighter to the edges?
Now use blue to paint waves on the bottom of the paper.
You see the blue turn into a greenish-blue as it mixes with the yellow.
Let the paint dry completely overnight and you can frame your work.
For the demonstration Puk choose the subject that he got when he first came to school. Which was: paint the origin of the earth. Puk thinks once there was the sun and there was water and from that the earth slowly came into being. It could very well be :) He still enjoys painting this same subject often, it fascinates him.
Paint with the same technique using more paint colours and see how beautiful it turns out
The light touches the water.
Land and underwater life came into existence.
Mixed media of paint and pencil is also very beautiful.
Have fun painting!
